Overview
We are seeking a Delivery Lead and Product Owner for a hybrid role focused on driving successful project delivery and managing a technical data product within the financial services sector. This contractor will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, technical leads, and multidisciplinary teams to create and sustain effective roadmaps that align with client priorities. The position emphasizes facilitation of discussions, workshops, and decision-making processes to navigate competing demands and complexities in the business change lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day execution of the delivery team, ensuring alignment with goals.
- Establish a cohesive view of the Finance and Data Office portfolio, including roadmap and dependencies.
- Engage with Finance stakeholders through workshops to articulate future requirements and develop a unified roadmap.
- Facilitate workshops and manage discussions among stakeholders with diverse needs to drive project momentum.
- Maintain and prioritize a product backlog in collaboration with team members to ensure steady delivery pace.
- Implement process analysis and optimization techniques to identify improvements and minimize waste.
- Utilize scaled agile methodologies such as SAFe or Scrum to coordinate cross-programme efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Delivery Lead and Product Owner roles within financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead business change initiatives beyond technology solutions, focusing on organizational and process changes.
- Experience working with complex data and finance functions to prioritize initiatives effectively.
- Proficiency in planning and conducting workshops for problem-solving and decision-making.
- Familiarity with agile principles and tools, including Value Stream Mapping and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, fostering understanding and collaboration.
- Experience with managing risks and problem-solving in a multidisciplinary team environment.
