Overview
A Contract Software Developer is required to join a major technology-led organization as part of a high-performing engineering team focused on a real-time, high-volume transactional platform. This role involves hands-on development across backend services and microservices, utilizing a technology stack that includes C#/.NET, Golang, and SQL Server. The contractor will work closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and Testing teams to enhance existing functionalities and implement new solutions in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop highly efficient, robust, and maintainable applications and backend services.
- Build and enhance services using C#/.NET and Golang.
- Work extensively with SQL Server.
- Support and improve existing business-critical functionality.
- Identify technical improvements and contribute ideas for new solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and Testing throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Demonstrable commercial experience in Golang development.
- Strong commercial experience with C#/.NET.
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Git/version control.
- Experience working with high-volume or data-intensive systems.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Exposure to Kafka, Linux, web/cloud technologies, and WPF is advantageous.
