Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevOps and Platform Automation Engineer to drive innovation in engineering delivery within a dynamic technology environment. This hybrid role will involve collaboration with the DevOps and Automation leadership team to implement intelligent automation, cloud-native practices, and enhance operational excellence. The successful candidate will significantly influence modern software delivery across the organization, working on infrastructure, deployment automation, and observability solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with delivery teams and engineering leads to align platform capabilities with business priorities.
- Collaborate on technical workstreams to support application delivery and operational excellence.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Enhance software delivery pipelines through automation and security integration.
- Develop and optimise release processes using DevOps tooling.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning for scalable environments.
- Embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance and governance within automation and deployment activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Automation roles.
- Solid background in Software Development, particularly with C# and Java.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, specifically using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure and Git environments.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes.
- Experience in deploying applications on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability principles.
- Experience in complex enterprise or regulated environments.
