Overview
We are looking for an experienced Fire Safety Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor to join our team on a contract basis, providing fire safety services primarily to Hospitality and Retail clients throughout the UK. The role demands a self-motivated professional who can manage their workload independently and utilize their expertise to deliver Fire Risk Assessments and advisory services, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaborating with stakeholders when necessary, the consultant will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards across a diverse portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Fire Risk Assessments in accordance with the contracted scope of services and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).\nPlan, schedule, and autonomously manage the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments using professional judgement.\nEnsure accurate completion and submission of Fire Risk Assessment reports in line with contractual requirements.\nProvide professional technical input to support responses to Fire Risk Assessment appeals or escalations as needed.\nOffer fire safety technical advice to clients and stakeholders to support contracted service delivery.\nLiaise with Service Coordinators to facilitate access and scheduling for Fire Risk Assessment services.\nDeliver additional fire safety services including training and occupancy reviews when agreed.\nMaintain professional competency and ongoing professional development necessary for the role.
Requirements
- Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM).\nLevel 3 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Level 3 in Fire Safety Management.\nMinimum of 1 year of experience in a consultancy environment or 2 years within the Fire Service.\nStrong customer focus with a commercial awareness.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProactive and solutions-focused approach.\nFull UK driving licence.\nFlexibility to travel as required.
