HR Business Partner

Overview

The HR Business Partner will oversee the complete lifecycle of TUPE transfers, ensuring compliance with legal obligations while collaborating with various teams such as Legal, Payroll, and Operations. The role involves managing complex employee relations issues and delivering guidance and training on TUPE legislation to enhance organizational understanding and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of TUPE transfers, including due diligence and consultation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on TUPE legislation and advise senior management on legal obligations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Operations, and Recruitment to facilitate seamless employee transfers.
  • Handle complex employee relations matters arising from TUPE transfers, such as redundancies and grievances.
  • Develop and deliver training workshops for managers on employment legislation and TUPE processes.
  • Monitor legislative developments and inform the business on changes affecting TUPE and organizational change.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent in HR.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end TUPE transfers including post-transfer integration.
  • Extensive knowledge of TUPE legislation and UK employment law.
  • Strong experience in employee relations, handling disciplinary, grievances, and organizational change matters.
  • Experience leading consultation processes with trade unions and employee representatives.
  • Demonstrated capability in supporting organizational restructures and outsourcing projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to influence and build relationships effectively.
