Overview
We are seeking an experienced Implementation Lead for a 9-month contract role focused on the implementation of a new MIS/ERP platform for a specialist manufacturing firm. The contractor will work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders to drive operational improvements through the effective implementation of the new system while coordinating with software vendors. This role requires hands-on leadership in the project, ensuring the new processes align with operational needs and goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the MIS/ERP system from the client side.
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and software vendor.
- Gather and document requirements from operational and business teams.
- Map existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Create and manage the overall implementation plan with established project governance.
- Oversee data migration activities and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering multiple ERP/MIS or similar system implementations.
- Strong Business Analysis skills combined with Project Delivery experience.
- Experience in operationally complex environments or SMEs.
- Hands-on experience with process mapping, requirements gathering, and data migration.
- Effectively manage relationships with third-party software vendors.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to challenge constructively.
- Excellent communication skills and credibility with operational teams.
- Ability to work independently and make pragmatic decisions.
