Overview
We are looking for a skilled JavaScript Engineer to join a dynamic team, working primarily with customers to translate their needs into effective technical solutions. This contract position requires the candidate to possess a strong technical background along with excellent customer engagement skills, primarily focusing on delivering high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment. GDS experience is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Engage confidently with customers and internal teams to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Independently deliver high-quality software solutions while collaborating in an Agile environment.
- Elicit, clarify, and document customer requirements efficiently.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust software solutions.
- Enhance AI prompting skills using tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and addressing issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' commercial experience in JavaScript development.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace is desirable but not essential.
- Previous Government experience is required.
