Overview
The Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in a major tenant-to-tenant migration and infrastructure transformation within a growing global MedTech organization. This position focuses on managing VMware, Windows Server, and Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Azure, to support technological advancements in scientific and healthcare innovations. The contractor will collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance and maintain a robust hybrid estate during a period of significant change.
Responsibilities
- Support VMware and Microsoft enterprise infrastructure across a global estate.
- Contribute to the major tenant-to-tenant migration and wider infrastructure transformation.
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure performance and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure projects with organizational goals.
- Document systems configurations and changes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware and Windows Server in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Azure technologies.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions and hybrid infrastructures.
- Familiarity with Nutanix and/or Rubrik would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in enterprise migration projects is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues effectively.
