Overview
We are seeking a Senior Modelling & Simulation Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role. The contractor will be integral in the development and analysis of complex systems within defence and marine engineering programmes. This position focuses on creating and validating vehicle and system-level models while collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop vehicle and system-level models using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Conduct verification and validation of models to ensure system performance.
- Analyze complex engineering systems and provide technical insights.
- Collaborate with customers to deliver validated models and solutions.
- Support systems engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Document modeling processes and results for peer review.
Requirements
- Strong experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
- Proven industrial experience in modeling and analyzing complex engineering systems.
- Ability to develop dynamic models for vehicles and systems.
- Understanding of control systems and performance metrics.
- Experience with hydro-actuated and/or electro-mechanical actuation systems.
- Familiarity with multi-body simulation and vehicle dynamics.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with model verification, documentation, and peer review processes.
