Overview
We are seeking a Senior Modelling & Simulation Engineer to support the development and analysis of complex systems within defence and marine engineering programmes. This hybrid contract role involves working on vehicle and system-level models, developing control algorithms, and executing simulations primarily using MATLAB/Simulink. You will collaborate across various phases of model development, systems analysis, and customer delivery, ensuring alignment with programme requirements and performance validation.
Responsibilities
- Develop vehicle and system-level models using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Analyze complex engineering systems and perform systems verification.
- Create and implement control algorithms for system performance enhancement.
- Support model validation processes from requirements to delivery.
- Conduct documentation and peer reviews of developed models.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technically complex programmes.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in MATLAB/Simulink.
- Proven background in modelling and analyzing complex engineering systems.
- Experience in developing dynamic models for vehicles and systems.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and their performance metrics.
- Familiarity with hydro-actuated and/or electro-mechanical actuation systems.
- Experience in multi-body simulation or vehicle dynamics.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with model verification processes and standards.
