Overview
As a Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in modernizing and automating the Kubernetes environment for a leading Fintech organization. This position focuses on enhancing platform security, improving cluster networking, and transitioning manual infrastructure management to Infrastructure as Code. You will be responsible for implementing key projects and ensuring a high level of ownership and autonomy in a dynamic cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop Terraform modules for clusters, DNS, and RBAC.
- Implement GitLab CI/CD automation for streamlined workflow.
- Oversee the transition from Gateway API to NGINX retirement.
- Establish cluster observability and monitoring solutions.
- Manage Kubernetes networking, routing, and access controls.
- Create and maintain platform documentation and architecture standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Kubernetes and Terraform module development.
- Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and automation practices.
- Familiarity with Gateway API / Ingress configurations.
- Expertise in cloud networking concepts (VPC, DNS, subnets).
- Experience in platform engineering within production environments.
