Overview
The Process Architect will work on a 12-month contract focused on shaping production facilities within the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. This hybrid role allows for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to define and design the operational layout of manufacturing environments from early concepts to detailed designs. The contractor will play a crucial part in developing site masterplans and optimizing material and people flow.
Responsibilities
- Define the operational layout for production and manufacturing facilities.
- Develop site masterplans and conduct concept studies.
- Design material and people flow within production environments.
- Produce layouts for clean suites, containment areas, and production facilities.
- Collaborate closely with process, mechanical, and architectural teams.
- Translate operational requirements into practical facility designs.
- Support projects from feasibility through to detailed design.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Process Architect or in a similar facility layout role.
- Strong understanding of material and people flow in production environments.
- Experience in food, chemical, industrial, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Ability to develop site masterplans and concept studies.
- Knowledge of GMP or similarly regulated design environments is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
