Project Manager

Overview

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in steering a major core modernisation programme within a financial services organization. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale change project, collaborating closely with both business and technology stakeholders to manage risks, dependencies, and governance. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact at a critical phase of the programme, ensuring that all appropriate controls and structures are effectively in place.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale change projects.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Oversee project timelines, risks, dependencies, and governance activities.
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate project controls, including reporting and decision logs.
  • Proactively identify and address issues affecting project progress.
  • Lead the team in maintaining detailed documentation and governance structures.
  • Facilitate communication across stakeholders to maintain project visibility and buy-in.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience in dynamic environments.
  • Proven experience in managing large and complex projects successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience with project risk management and maintaining RAID logs.
  • Familiarity with the financial services or banking sector is a plus, but not essential.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in working on change programmes is highly desirable.
