Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join a project focused on broadcast and streaming applications. The contractor will work with a remote team to ensure the functionality and quality of streaming services across various platforms. The role emphasizes hands-on testing of video applications and requires expertise in troubleshooting devices and documenting defects effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous testing of streaming applications on Android, mobile, Smart TVs, and web platforms.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot devices essential for testing.
- Perform functional, regression, and cross-platform testing for video applications.
- Identify, investigate, and document defects in a clear and systematic manner.
- Collaborate with a remote team to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing, specifically within the broadcast or video streaming industry.
- Hands-on experience testing applications across multiple platforms including Android, mobile, Smart TVs, and web browsers.
- Experience with live streaming, video playback, and video-on-demand (VOD) applications.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional and regression testing.
- Ability to work independently and effectively document testing processes and outcomes.
