Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join a consultancy project focused on a major UK insurance organization. This role involves working at the intersection of Python, test automation, and data engineering to help build and validate modern cloud-native data platforms. The ideal candidate will be engaged in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment and will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact quickly.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated test frameworks for cloud-native data platforms.
- Conduct data validation and data quality checks.
- Test ETL processes and data pipelines using SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements.
- Implement testing using PyTest and other automation tools.
- Utilize CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or AWS Pipelines for testing automation.
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python and automated testing frameworks like PyTest.
- Proficient in SQL for ETL and data pipeline testing.
- Experience with CI/CD environments such as GitHub Actions or AWS Pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or GCP.
- Understanding of data engineering principles and testing scalable data solutions.
- Nice to have: experience with Behave or BDD methodologies for building testing frameworks.
