Overview
The SAP S/4HANA Test Manager will be instrumental in defining and executing the overall testing strategy for a complex ERP project. In this role, you will collaborate with various business teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of all solution components prior to deployment. Your efforts will encompass planning, execution oversight, and effective defect management to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the programme-wide test strategy, approach, and governance.
- Define test phases including user testing (UT), system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression evaluation.
- Prepare the master test plan, detailing scope, timelines, resources, and entry/exit criteria.
- Coordinate testing activities and oversee SIT, UAT, and regression test execution.
- Manage test data requirements and maintain appropriate test environments throughout the phases.
- Review and approve test scripts, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Establish and manage defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution processes.
- Provide regular test status reporting, including dashboards and quality metrics.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Test Manager, preferably within SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong understanding of various testing methodologies and testing phases.
- Experience in preparing master test plans and coordinating cross-functional testing activities.
- Ability to manage defect resolution processes and provide insightful reporting on testing progress.
- Familiarity with testing tools and environments used in ERP implementations.
- Demonstrated capability to support go-live readiness and cutover validation.
- Excellent communication skills to act as a central point of contact for all testing matters.
