Overview
The Senior Delivery Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a major transformation programme within the public sector. The contractor will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, utilising their deep Agile expertise to ensure successful delivery across complex environments. This position is well-suited for seasoned professionals with a strong background in public sector engagements, focused on delivering high-quality software and applications.
Responsibilities
- Mobilise and manage cross-functional delivery teams on digital projects within the public sector.
- Ensure adherence to the GDS Service Standard throughout the project lifecycle from Discovery to Live.
- Lead Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe to drive project success.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to align on project objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and implement improvements as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team to ensure efficient workflows.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mobilising cross-functional delivery teams on public sector digital engagements.
- Deep familiarity with the GDS Service Standard and the complete project lifecycle from Discovery to Live.
- Extensive experience in Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Strong background in the public sector, particularly in delivering software and applications.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-location environments.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
