Overview
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer on a contract basis to modernise an enterprise SaaS application. The successful candidate will work remotely and focus on enhancing the user interface and experience, improving accessibility, and evolving the current design system. This role requires a mix of strong development skills and a deep understanding of product UX/UI design principles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend components using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
- Collaborate with design teams to enhance user experiences through effective UX/UI processes.
- Implement improvements to existing platforms while ensuring code quality and accessibility standards.
- Build reusable components and evolve the design system incrementally.
- Utilize OpenAI Codex or similar AI coding agents effectively within the development workflow.
- Engage in design tasks, including creating user journeys and interaction patterns.
Requirements
- Proven experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
- Hands-on experience with OpenAI Codex or similar AI coding agents in a development environment.
- Strong background in product UX/UI design, including user journey mapping and design system creation.
- Experience with ColdFusion/CFML is an advantage.
- Familiarity with component libraries like Storybook and automated testing practices.
- Ability to work with established and legacy applications and modify them effectively.
