Overview
We are seeking a Senior Grafana Engineer to enhance our client’s observability capabilities within a complex cloud environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in leveraging Grafana at scale, with a strong grasp of the broader observability ecosystem, including monitoring, metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting. This role involves hands-on work in architecting and configuring Grafana solutions to improve visibility for engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and build observability capabilities using Grafana.
- Develop and automate configurations to enhance platform usability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline monitoring processes.
- Implement best practices for metrics, logging, and alerting.
- Work with cloud-native technologies and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Utilize tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS or Azure.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Grafana, preferably including Grafana Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of observability principles and practices.
- Background in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Loki, Mimir, Tempo, and Alloy.
- Experience in cloud environments and automation techniques.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
