Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to manage complex, business-critical IT projects for a prestigious luxury automotive manufacturer. In this hybrid role, you will work closely with stakeholders from senior executives to technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects through structured governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will be adept in navigating large organizations and driving accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation to successful delivery.
- Manage projects across software development, infrastructure, business systems, and enterprise applications.
- Build and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Apply robust governance, risk, issue, and dependency management processes.
- Facilitate steering committees, stage-gate reviews, and executive reporting.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Board-level executives.
- Work closely with business, technical, and third-party teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage project spend and ensure business benefits remain on track.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior IT Project Manager delivering complex IT projects within a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive.
- Strong experience in PRINCE2 and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Ability to manage a complete Waterfall project lifecycle, including governance and stage-gate controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly at executive and Board levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and political astuteness.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is required.
- Desirable: Experience in delivering SAP or ERP projects, and an understanding of ITIL.
