Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer for a contract role focused on developing an AI-powered MCP server for a prominent player in cyber security. In this position, you will take ownership of an integral part of the build, working collaboratively within a team to integrate LLMs via APIs and ensure the AI framework is accessible through an agentic interface. This remote-first position offers flexibility while engaging in a meaningful project that merges AI and cyber security.
Responsibilities
- Develop a production-grade AI-powered MCP server using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) to facilitate seamless access through an agentic interface.
- Manage an isolated area of the build while ensuring effective communication with the team.
- Refine and prioritize the backlog weekly in collaboration with the client to meet evolving project needs.
- Design and build scalable APIs and cloud-native applications for robust performance.
- Ensure effective and proactive communication within the team regarding progress and challenges.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience with Python and production-level work in FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Experience building applications that utilize LLMs through API integrations.
- Strong capability in designing scalable APIs and cloud-native solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to own a specific area of a project while collaborating with a fast-paced team.
- Excellent proactive communication skills.
- Familiarity with FastMCP is desirable but not required.
