Overview
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join a payments company in a hybrid role, where you will play a crucial part in developing and scaling a high-throughput payments platform. You will work closely with various teams such as Product, Data, and Risk to enhance platform architecture and ensure the delivery of robust systems that comply with regulatory standards. This position focuses on hands-on technical development while also mentoring fellow developers and driving best practices within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of high-performance .NET services for a global payments platform.
- Build and scale event-driven microservices deployed in Azure.
- Drive best practices in architecture, coding standards, observability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product teams to design API-driven payment and partner integrations.
- Mentor and support engineers while contributing hands-on to critical systems.
- Evolve a scalable, distributed architecture to handle high transaction volumes.
- Improve engineering velocity, delivery quality, and platform resilience.
Requirements
- Strong experience with .NET and C# in production environments.
- Experience in developing cloud-native systems on Azure.
- Proficient in event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Service Bus).
- Experience working with Azure Cosmos DB.
- Demonstrated experience in building distributed systems and scalable APIs.
- Background in payments platforms, fintech systems, or high-throughput transactional systems.
- Strong understanding of system design, reliability, and performance at scale.
- Ability to lead technically while remaining hands-on in development.
