Overview
We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a collaborative Agile team within a leading financial services organization. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to enhance test automation processes and improve software quality. This hybrid role requires ad hoc travel to central London or Surrey, offering an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tests using C#, .NET, and Selenium.
- Create test plans, test cases, and regression test suites.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define acceptance criteria using BDD and Gherkin.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform manual testing as necessary and manage defects through to resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Practical experience in software testing and test automation.
- Working knowledge of C# and Selenium.
- Understanding of BDD, Gherkin, and Agile delivery practices.
- Knowledge of test planning, regression testing, and defect management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Desirable: Experience with SpecFlow, CI/CD pipelines, and .NET applications.
- ISTQB/ISEB testing qualification is a plus.
- Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.
