Overview
We are seeking an experienced Testing Manager for a 6-month contract role focused on leading the end-to-end testing of an Oracle HCM Cloud transformation programme within a global retail organization. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, taking ownership of testing strategy and execution across critical payroll processes, integrations, and business continuity efforts. Strong leadership and coordination will be essential in this high-profile, time-sensitive environment, ensuring quality and readiness for a complex migration.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end test strategy, approach, and delivery plan.
- Plan and manage test cycles, including environments, dependencies, and entry/exit criteria.
- Ensure environment and test data readiness across all test phases.
- Coordinate test scenario design for People and payroll-critical processes.
- Lead defect triage, prioritization, and resolution with vendors and internal teams.
- Own test reporting, quality metrics, and governance outputs.
- Provide clear readiness recommendations to support go/no-go decisions.
- Oversee data migration validation and reconciliation, ensuring formal sign-off.
Requirements
- Strong leadership experience in Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle Fusion HCM testing programmes.
- Proven experience managing SIT, UAT, regression, payroll parallel runs, and go-live testing.
- Experience testing integrations and understanding downstream impacts.
- Ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong defect management and vendor coordination experience.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on translating technical outcomes into business risk.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the capacity to deliver in deadline-driven programmes.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and understanding of data security when handling employee data.
