AI And Data Privacy Consultant

Overview

The AI and Data Privacy Consultant will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and hands-on support in AI governance and data privacy for a defence consultancy. This position requires a dedicated subject matter expert who will work closely with client teams to assess AI systems, ensure compliance with regulations, and implement robust governance frameworks. The consultant will deliver impactful assessments and leverage their knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection standards to enhance the privacy and ethical use of AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Algorithmic Impact Assessments for ML pipelines and high-assurance data platforms.
  • Implement AI governance frameworks aligned with ISO/IEC 42001 and defence assurance standards.
  • Provide technical privacy advisory on data minimization, synthetic data, and differential privacy risks.
  • Map AI systems against UK GDPR, DPA 2018, and defence AI policies.
  • Assess third-party AI models, tools, and datasets for privacy and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an AI Governance Consultant or Data Privacy Consultant with hands-on advisory and compliance expertise.
  • Active UK SC clearance is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, DPA 2018, and ISO 42001, particularly in defence or public sector environments.
  • Desirable certifications include AIGP, ISO 42001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CDPSE.
