Overview
The AI Tech Lead will work in a hybrid role focused on hands-on innovation and rapid delivery of AI and automation solutions for a major global payments organization. Collaborating with business teams, the contractor will identify and prototype high-value opportunities while employing the latest AI tools and methodologies. This role requires agility in moving from complex business challenges to actionable prototypes and value proofs, ensuring effective solutions are integrated into formal product development.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI and automation opportunities.
- Translate business pain points into practical technology solutions.
- Rapidly assess the most suitable technology approach, including generative AI and other modern tools.
- Define and build rapid proofs of concept and proofs of value.
- Collaborate with the AI Innovation Specialist to develop working prototypes.
- Test prototypes with real users, iterate based on feedback, and measure success criteria.
- Explore new AI technologies and recommend their implementation based on value potential.
- Facilitate the handoff of successful pilots to Product and Engineering teams for formal delivery.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in technology, product, data, or AI consulting.
- Strong understanding of AI applications in business contexts.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI tools and workflows.
- Ability to quickly translate ideas into actionable prototypes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities without being overly senior.
- Familiarity with modern software and product delivery approaches.
- Technical fluency with relevant platforms and tools; eagerness to learn new technologies.
