Overview
The contract role of Agile Business Analyst focuses on the transformation of a major pricing and billing system as part of a key commerce and supply chain initiative. The successful contractor will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including Commercial and Finance teams, to develop detailed business requirements and an Agile backlog. This position will require managing integrations and ensuring the new system meets the needs of both operational processes and reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Review existing discovery outputs and functional specifications.
- Lead workshops and stakeholder interviews to define detailed business requirements.
- Define pricing and billing rules including tariffs, order volumes, and financial calculations.
- Identify changes needed across existing systems and data flows to support the integrated processes.
- Capture reporting requirements and document business rules in Confluence.
- Translate requirements into Jira epics and user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with development teams to refine the backlog and manage dependencies.
- Validate delivered functionality and ensure thorough handover of analysis artefacts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business analysis for pricing, billing, or financial systems.
- Strong understanding of financial business rules and billing processes.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including backlog refinement and user stories.
- Familiarity with integrations and data flow management across systems.
- Ability to engage with Commercial and Finance stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Technical skills to convert business needs into clear specifications for developers.
- Strong documentation skills using Jira and Confluence.
- Proactive mindset in addressing requirement gaps and handling multiple workstreams.
