Overview
The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in a data lake migration project, liaising between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the successful identification, testing, and sign-off of data, reports, and applications. This hands-on position requires a focus on gathering requirements and coordinating user acceptance testing, making it essential for the candidate to be comfortable with both technical and non-technical interactions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify key data for migration.
- Conduct discovery sessions to gather requirements from stakeholders.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage the sign-off process.
- Ensure that reporting and data dependencies are understood and documented.
- Lead discussions on requirements, testing, defects, and sign-off activities.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data migration, analytics, or cloud projects.
- Familiarity with user acceptance testing (UAT) processes and business acceptance criteria.
- Strong understanding of Power BI, reporting tools, and data management dependencies.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing requirements, testing cycles, defects, and final approvals.
- Available for a 6-month contract starting ASAP.
