Overview
The role of C++ Software Engineer involves working within a leading Technology Firm's Market Data team, focusing on developing low-latency systems for financial markets. Responsibilities
- Architect and implement low-latency C++ systems to enhance trading capabilities.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to build real-time market data processing solutions.
- Define and enforce SLAs, policies, and metrics to monitor system performance.
- Develop systems and interfaces for historical market data simulations to improve research productivity.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks for market data applications.
- Track performance and manage risk associated with market data systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in C++ programming, including modern C++ features like OOP and templates.
- Demonstrated experience in financial markets technology across various asset classes.
- In-depth knowledge of low-latency, real-time system design and trading protocols.
- Proven experience in building and managing large-scale market data systems, including familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, and FactSet.
- Strong understanding of Linux internals, networking, and CPU architecture optimization.
