Cyber Security Architect

Overview

The Cyber Security Architect will play a critical role in supporting a highly sensitive technology programme by providing security architecture expertise in a secure environment. Collaborating closely with various technical teams and suppliers, the contractor will shape the security direction of the programme and ensure compliance with risk and protection standards throughout the design and implementation phases. This position requires a candidate with existing SC clearance and willingness to pursue DV clearance, given the sensitive nature of the work involved.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security architecture expertise across complex systems and multiple technologies.
  • Shape the security direction of a highly sensitive technology programme.
  • Ensure that risks and protection requirements are integrated into design processes.
  • Produce and assure high-level and low-level technical designs.
  • Assess technical proposals and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture governance sessions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and influence senior decision-makers on security matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum SC clearance with eligibility for DV clearance.
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Cyber Security Architect in regulated or secure environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and security technologies.
  • Experience in producing and assuring technical designs.
  • Understanding of security architecture, technical risk management, and secure systems development.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management and controlled data exchange.
  • Ability to influence and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
