Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to provide technical expertise on crucial nuclear projects within a leading nuclear solutions provider. The role involves hybrid working arrangements, allowing for two days on-site per week, and focuses on delivering design solutions while ensuring compliance with nuclear standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support the project through the management of suppliers and technical documentation, requiring the ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical and control design across nuclear projects.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation including SLDs and control system designs.
- Develop specifications for control system architectures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure integrated delivery.
- Specify electrical and control equipment for nuclear applications.
- Support commissioning activities and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Conduct design reviews and manage procurement coordination.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear and regulatory standards in all designs.
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC) is required.
- Degree in electrical, electronic, control, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant EC&I engineering experience, particularly in nuclear or regulated industries.
- Expertise in control system design and electrical power distribution.
- Proficient knowledge of nuclear standards, HSE requirements, and risk management.
- Strong documentation and quality assurance skills.
- Effective communication skills for client and team collaboration.
- Preferred: Experience and certification in Functional Safety (IEC 61508, IEC 61511).
