Overview
This role involves offering consultancy services to a CFO and Director of Transformation over a six-week period, focusing on technology and cybersecurity improvements. The consultant will work remotely, collaborating closely with leadership to assess and enhance IT service arrangements, cybersecurity measures, and business transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review service arrangements and contractual obligations to assess performance against expected outcomes.
- Provide gap analysis and recommendations to the CFO, then lead the implementation of agreed improvements.
- Review cybersecurity findings and actions, identify gaps, and coordinate remediation activities.
- Conduct a Microsoft 365 survey and identify associated improvement opportunities.
- Act as the internal technology lead and main point of contact for technology-related matters.
- Manage relationships with outsourced technology providers and resolve technology issues.
- Conduct a comprehensive security assessment post-remediation to evaluate the overall security posture.
- Support the definition of the business transformation portfolio by assessing opportunities and delivery considerations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Head of IT role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity policies and practices.
- Extensive experience in Microsoft 365 services.
- Excellent skills in third-party supplier management.
- Demonstrated ability in gap analysis and critical thinking.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Public sector experience is preferred but not essential.
- Business transformation experience is advantageous; Prince II certification is a plus.
