Overview
The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures in a full-time, on-site role. Working closely with security and operations teams, the contractor will ensure compliance with network architecture requirements while addressing connectivity issues and optimizing network performance. This position is critical for the client's delivery of essential infrastructure services in a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure network architectures to meet client needs.
- Configure and manage network devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network design with compliance standards.
- Document configurations and procedures for network setups.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of network reliability and security.
- Support incident response for network-related issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Active SC & DV clearance is mandatory; cannot sponsor or upgrade.
- Proven experience in Network Engineering and Design, especially in secure environments.
- Hands-on skills in Network Administration and Troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Network Security principles and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs in hybrid setups.
- Experience with tools for network monitoring and diagnostics (e.g., Wireshark, SNMP).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP or CompTIA Network+ are necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
