Overview
As an Android Developer on a contract basis, you will join a mobile platform team to enhance and maintain a UK government app. Collaborating closely with QA and backend engineers, you will focus on improving core app functionalities while integrating contributions from other teams. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional in-person meetings in London.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve the common parts of the Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Integrate features developed by other teams into the app.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
- Monitor app stability using Crashlytics and address any emerging issues.
- Collaborate with QA and backend engineers to identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in native Android development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with Crashlytics for app stability management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, small team environment.
- Confidence in providing input during code reviews.
