Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a leading London Market insurer on a high-profile transformation project. In this role, the contractor will play a pivotal part in automating various data and back-office processes, working closely with both insurance and business stakeholders to design and build scalable automated solutions that support growth across the Consortium and Facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate data processes across Consortium and Facility business.
- Automate bordereaux production, fee calculations, and other insurance data processes.
- Work with data held within SQL Server to enhance system efficiency.
- Understand and translate existing business process flows into scalable technical solutions.
- Build appropriate controls and auditability into automated processes.
- Collaborate with insurance and business stakeholders to optimize processes.
- Create best-in-class, scalable solutions to accommodate business growth.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
- Excellent SQL, SQL Server, and T-SQL skills.
- Previous experience in Lloyd's/London Market insurance.
- Proven ability to automate manual business/data processes successfully.
- Strong understanding of data flows and ETL processes.
- Experience with Consortium, Facility, bordereaux, Delegated Authority, or Coverholder data is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Python, and/or PowerShell is a plus.
