Overview
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer contractor, who will play a crucial role in delivering tailored asset management solutions within the energy sector. This position will involve collaborating with various teams to provide technical expertise in electrical engineering for project work scopes, as well as contributing to both onsite and design review activities. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of compliant and efficient engineering documentation and inputs, ensuring that safety and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering input to estimates for project work scopes.
- Collaborate in progress and planning meetings to track project development.
- Specify modifications to existing equipment and advise on new equipment purchases.
- Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets as needed.
- Produce calculations and participate in design reviews.
- Check and approve discipline documents, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Ensure that all work adheres to Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies.
- Deliver technical documentation and reports for project deliverables.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Solid understanding of HV/LV switchgear and electrical protection design principles.
- Experience with power generation, distribution systems, and associated electrical equipment.
- Proficient in conducting site surveys and producing technical calculations.
- Familiarity with engineering codes and standards relevant to the energy sector.
- Ability to manage technical queries and design changes through established processes.
- Experience in preparing comprehensive engineering documentation and specifications.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in engineering practices.
