Overview
The Reliability Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting a major engineering programme within the maritime defense sector. This remote contract position involves leveraging expertise in DFMEA and Reliasoft tools to enhance design maturity and quality, while working closely with design engineers and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the DFMEA process from end-to-end.
- Serve as the Reliasoft subject matter expert (SME) within the team.
- Facilitate technical workshops with lead design engineers and subject matter experts.
- Translate complex engineering discussions into structured and auditable failure modes and mitigation actions.
- Capture evidence and challenge design decisions to improve quality and maturity.
- Track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide status reports to program leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder communications and ensure clarity in reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering DFMEA processes end-to-end.
- Advanced proficiency in Reliasoft Xfmea and RCM++ tools.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and translate technical discussions into actionable items.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Background in defense, naval, propulsion, power generation, or complex electro-mechanical systems is desirable.
- Current Security Clearance (SC) is essential.
