Overview
The Senior Technical Business Analyst will play a critical role in aligning business needs with technical solutions, focusing on systems analysis, requirements definition, and process improvements. Working collaboratively alongside engineering and architecture teams, the analyst will ensure that solutions are both functional and technically sound while supporting integration efforts with various systems and stakeholders. This contract position requires a deep understanding of the technical landscape and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable results.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and prioritise requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation.
- Perform root cause analysis and lead workshops for requirements definition.
- Produce high-quality documentation including functional specifications and process flows.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define solution design and feasibility.
- Support system integration efforts, including APIs and data flows.
- Ensure alignment between business expectations and technical delivery throughout projects.
- Assist in UAT planning and execution while supporting release planning activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in technical environments, ideally within the public sector.
- Strong expertise in writing functional and technical specifications.
- Experience with system implementations, integrations, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL, APIs, data modelling, and data mapping.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience working in Agile environments with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
